Glenburn - Lloyd Edson George, 85, died July 31, 2019 at Ross Manor. He was born April 10, 1934, in Brewer, the son of Edson L. and Helena (Dymond) George, Sr.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call 4-7:00 pm, Friday, August 9, 2019 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor where a Masonic memorial service will be conducted at 6:00pm by the officers and members of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Massachusetts F. & A.M. and North Star Lodge No. 22 F. & A.M.
A Service of Celebration and Thanksgiving of Life will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Hammond Street Congregational Church, UCC, 28 High St., Bangor with the Reverend Dr. Mark A. Doty, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments in the church Vestry immediately following the service. Interment will follow the reception at the City Section of Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
Those wishing to remember Lloyd in a special way may make gifts in his memory to his beloved Bangor Community Chorus, mailed c/o Jan Winkler, Treasurer, 16 Somerset Street, Bangor, ME 04401 or the Scholarship Fund of the North Star Lodge #22, c/o Brother Ricky Hall, 121 Fourth Street, Bangor, ME 04401.
