Madawaska Lake, Maine - Linda L. Woods, 78, died unexpectedly January 16, 2026, at her Madawaska Lake residence. She was born in Stockholm, August 27, 1947, the daughter of the late Alfred and Irene (Rossignol) Thibodeau.

She was a 1965 graduate of Caribou High School and she married Lloyd Woods on April 15, 1989. Linda was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for a number of years as well as working at several other area businesses, but mostly she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister to her family. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Stockholm as well as a member of the Perkins Plourde Post 136 American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Lloyd of Madawaska Lake are her two daughters, Shelly Desiderio of Oakland and Stacy Butler and husband, Kevin, of Presque Isle, two stepchildren, James Woods of Laconia, New Hampshire, and Tammy Woods of Standish; two brothers, Mack Thibodeau and wife, Karen, of Rose Pine, Louisiana, and Joseph Thibodeau and wife, Lisa, of Stockholm; grandchildren, Megan Butler, Roslin Desiderio, Matthew Butler, Anthony Bergin-Woods, Parker McMillan, Andy Woods and David Heath; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, where members of the Perkins Plourde Post Auxiliary will conduct evening memorial services at 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, January 30, 2026, from Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Theresa Catholic Church, Stockholm. Interment will take place at a later date at Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery. Following the services all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the Perkins Plourde Post American Legion. In lieu of flowers, friends may remember Linda in a special way through the St. Theresa Catholic Church Memorial Fund.
