Eddington, Maine - Linda E. Boynton, 84, passed away on May 26, 2026, with her family by her side. She was born on May 10, 1942, in Carmel, ME, the daughter of Kenneth Luce and Lillian Powell.

Linda graduated from Carmel High School before attending University of Maine. She entered the workforce first as an educator before finding her calling as Support Enforcement with DHHS, retiring in 2007. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of local, county, and state Grange.

Linda enjoyed 40 years of marriage with the love of her life, Don Boynton. She could often be found camping in the summer months and, after retirement, spent winters in Florida. Linda loved spending time with her children, bonus children, and their families. She enjoyed gardening and many arts and crafts.

In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her daughter, Maureen Waltz; stepfather, Stanley Powell; and sister, Marcia Watson. She is survived by her husband, Don Boynton; sons, Michael Cyr, Matthew Cyr, and Marcus Cyr; bonus children, Keely Zayas, Katherine Cunningham, and Kelly Boynton; siblings, Richard Luce, John Luce, and Brenda Candage; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Gentiva Hospice for their care and compassion.
