Bangor - Lena Anne (Cyr) Thibodeau, 75, died peacefully at home on March 19, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Lena had been courageously battling several debilitating illnesses for more than 5 years and has now gone to rest eternally with the Lord.

She was born November 24, 1943, in Van Buren, Maine, the daughter of Alphy and Vivian (Violette) Cyr. She was the beloved wife of Alfred Thibodeau to whom she had been married for over 59 years. Together they raised a family of which they were extremely proud. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Lena was a communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary's Church, for over 35 years. She served on the parish's funeral ministry and was a Eucharistic minister to the home bound. She volunteered at the Eastern Area Agency on Aging and enjoyed tending to the needs of others.

In addition to her parents and parents-in-law, Alfred and Irene (Durepos) Thibodeau, she was predeceased by a nephew, Troy Alphy Cyr, a sister-in-law Geneva (Thibodeau) Martin and a brother-in-law, Patrick Clavette. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her children and their spouses, Cheryl and Paul Morrow, Lynn and Bruce Thibodeau, Debbie and Micah Rodgerson and Jeff and Jennifer Thibodeau. She will be especially missed by her grandchildren and their spouses, Scott and Allison Thibodeau, Paul Jr. and Caitlin Morrow, Megan Thibodeau, Zachary Hamilton, Jeffrey Thibodeau, Matthew Morrow and Casey Thibodeau. Her two great-grandsons, Evan Morrow and William Thibodeau, were a great joy to her in her final months. She will be remembered fondly by her siblings and their spouses, Lillian Clavette, Ken and Shirley Cyr, Ralph and Bernadette Cyr, Rita and Donald Ouellette and Patricia and Gary St. Amand and by many nieces and nephews.

The family is grateful to all the caregivers who assisted Lena on her journey. They would like to thank Dr. Mary Eyerer, Dr. Thomas Rajan, Dr. Joel Wirth and Dr. K. Emily Redding. A special thanks to Dr. Cosmina Fachiol who was constantly available to offer invaluable palliative care advice, an ear to listen and a shoulder to lean on.

So sorry to hear of Lena's passing. Lena was always very thoughtful and helpful to others. She used to volunteer at the Bangor House meal site that I managed for many years. We share the same birthday and have enjoyed each others company. My thoughts and prayers are with Al and the family
