Kimberly Cecilia Spann Obituary

Hermon, Maine - Kimberly C. (Lawrence) Spann, 66, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 1, 2025. Kimberly was born on September 8, 1958, in Bangor, Maine, to Lloyd and Clara (Rand) Lawrence; the youngest of four daughters.

Kimberly grew up in Winterport and graduated from Hampden Academy in 1977, meeting the love of her life, Scott Spann, the same year. Kim and Scott were married on September 4, 1982, had three children and created a beautiful life of nearly 43 years together.

Gardening was a great passion for Kim and she spent many years creating beautiful arrangements in her flower shop, The Secret Garden. Being a mother was one of her greatest joys in life and she would have gone to the ends of the Earth for her children. Kim spent many happy summers camping and traveling with her family and truly enjoyed being outdoors. You could find Kim cooking, tending to her vegetable and flower gardens, dancing, or buzzing about making sure everyone around her was taken care of. Always the life of the party, Kim made friends everywhere she went and will be missed by many.

She was predeceased by her father, Lloyd Lawrence; and her granddog, Bentley Jones. Kim is survived by her mother, Clara; husband, Scott; son, Chad and wife, Jen; daughter, Melissa and husband, William; son, Caleb; grandchildren, Brody, Madison, Elliot, Bailey, Parker and Layton; and her granddogs, Sullivan and George. Kim also leaves behind her three sisters, Zoeann, Denice, and Jennifer; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Kim's legacy will be that of heroic selflessness, donating her organs and giving other families the precious gift of more time. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at The Overlook at Lucerne Inn in Dedham, Maine, from 1 to 5 p.m.
