Bangor, Maine - Kelly A. Tripp, 55, of Bangor, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born in Pawtucket, RI, on October 2, 1970, the daughter of John and Kathleen (Kelly) Gomes.
Kelly graduated from Job Corps before attending University of Maine, Augusta, where she obtained her master's degree in social work.
Kelly was a kind soul; she loved helping others. She enjoyed crafting, jewelry making, diamond arts, and was an avid collector of all things wolves. She loved time spent with family and friends, and especially enjoyed time spent on the beach, her favorite being Old Orchard Beach.
Kelly was predeceased by her father, John Gomes; and grandson, James McClure. She is survived by her mother, Kathleen Gomes and partner, Robert Cartwright; sisters, Laurie Maxwell and husband, Michael, and Jennifer Maynard and husband, Michael; brother, John Gomes and wife, Sharon Pinkham; son, Dylan Homen; daughter, Sierra Homen and partner, Nate Martin; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 8, 2025. The family would like to invite relatives and friends to enjoy conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor, ME, immediately following the service.
