Kelly Jean Tapley
Millinocket - Kelly Jean (Michaud) Tapley, 24, of Millinocket, wife of Charles Earl Tapley Jr, passed away unexpectedly shortly after giving birth to their son Wyatt John Tapley on February 5, 2020 with her family by her side. Kelly was born on March 21, 1995 in Millinocket to John Henry and Gerie Dawn (Mackin) Michaud.
Kelly graduated from Stearns High School in 2013 and had recently completed her degree in medical coding and billing at Central Maine Community College.
Family meant the world to Kelly. She loved to spend time with her family as often as possible. Kelly enjoyed weekly family dinners, summer boat rides on Ambajejus Lake, playing with her niece and nephew, Sunday football gatherings and card games at her childhood home. She had many friends of which she cherished deeply. She had a zest for life and love. Kelly was overjoyed to have married the love of her life and settle down in her home town to start a family.
Kelly is predeceased by her paternal grandparents Richard and Jean (Mascetta) Michaud; maternal grandfather Carleton Mackin; and her beautiful son Wyatt John Tapley all of Millinocket.
She is survived by her loving husband Charles Earl Tapley Jr and their two "nugs" Oscar Meyer and Winston Patrick who will miss her dearly; parents John Henry and Gerie Dawn (Mackin) Michaud of Millinocket; sister Johnna (Michaud) Pelletier and her husband Derek of Millinocket; a very special niece and nephew Madelyn and Levi Pelletier of Millinocket; and maternal grandmother Geraldean (Harding) Mackin of Millinocket.
Kelly had recently sent her mother a quote to reflect her love of family and comfort of returning home: "One day, when my children are grown, I hope they still come through the front door without knocking. I hope they head to the kitchen for a snack and slump on the sofa to watch TV. I hope they come in and feel the weight of adulthood leave them, for they are home. For my children, my door will forever be open."
Rest in peace our beautiful blue-eyed princess with your precious son. You are loved so much and will be forever missed.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday February 15 at 1pm at St. Martin of Tours 19 Colby Street in Millinocket with a celebration of life to follow at the Millinocket Elks Lodge 213 Aroostook Ave in Millinocket.
