Kara Michelle Hutchinson
Pittsfield - Kara Michelle Hutchinson, 30, passed away unexpectedly on April 16, 2019. She was born August 25, 1988, in Norfolk, Virginia, the daughter of Kristy Hutchinson and James Hutchinson. Kara moved to Maine at the age of 4. She attended school and graduated from Maine Central Institute in 2006. After high school, Kara took her talent and love of hair and makeup and attended Empire Beauty School.
Although Kara struggled through much of her life, she persevered and always came up swinging, being the strong person she was. She had bounding energy and made friends wherever she went. Kara's sense of humor was not always evident, hidden under the surface. She was funny and we will never forget her words often spoken, "Just kidding."
Kara is survived by the love of her life, her daughter, Kendall Lynn Munn, whom she adored and who was her bright beacon of light in the fog; mother, Kristy Hutchinson, of Largo, Florida; father, James Hutchinson, of Pittsfield; beloved sister and best friend, Katrina Hutchinson, of Bangor; brother, Marine Sergeant, Jake Hutchinson, of Jacksonville, North Carolina; grandparents, Meem and Grampy, of Largo, Florida; Aunt Karen and Uncle Stevie, of Newburgh; Aunt Kimmy and Uncle Webb of Newburgh; Aunt Lee and Uncle Ronnie of Plymouth; Uncle Gary of Columbia, Missouri; cousins Kerri, Dylan and Kaylee; Jonathan and Brian; Kathryn and Chelsea; and very special niece, Liberty Lynn, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends too numerous to mention. Kara was predeceased by grandfather, Grampy Ron of Lakeland, Florida; grandmother, Grammy Bonnie of Macon, Missouri; grandfather, Billy Jo Hutchinson of Mexico, Missouri. Kara is also survived by Larry, Cindy, and AJ Munn as well as AJ's children, Kiki and Caleb, who were a very special presence in Kara's life. Kara will be sadly missed by all.
While Kara's life was cut tragically short, our memories will live on forever. If you are never forgotten, you are never truly gone.
A gathering and celebration of Kara's life will be held for family and close friends on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. at House 27:4 in Bangor Mall.
"And she runs like a river to the setting sun, she runs like a river that has never been won, she runs like a river that will always be free."
