Bangor, Maine - June was born in Bangor to Beverly and Joseph Damien. She passed away unexpectedly over the Memorial Day weekend.

She graduated from Old Town High School in 1983, and in 1990 she joined the Maine Air National Guard. June cherished her mission with the guard to help underprivileged children and adults. While serving full-time with the MAINEIACS in Bangor, she earned her degree in dental hygiene from the University of Maine of Augusta. She retired as master sergeant from the guard in 2025. For the past 36 years she has been a well-loved hygienist in Orono and Hampden. A favorite part of her job was educating children in the local schools on proper dental health and hygiene. She enjoyed her flowers and gardening and loved camping, birdwatching, and nature. Her favorite activity was walking her dog on the University of Maine bike path between Old Town and Orono. More recently, her favorite pastime was spending time with her granddaughter, Murphie.

June is survived by her life partner, Randy Dodge; her sons, TJ Toole and Jonny (Meaghan) Toole; granddaughter, Murphie; sisters, Pam Damien, Kim Damien, Lynne (David) Champoux, Sharon DeGrasse; several nephews; her special aunt and uncle, Rose and Phil Damien; and special mother-in-law, Carolyn. She was predeceased by her parents.

There will be no service per June's request. Donations may be made in her memory to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mt. Hope Ave., Bangor, ME 04401, where she was a volunteer.
