Deer Isle, Maine - Joseph William Kiss Powell, 89, of Deer Isle, Maine, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025. He was born in New York, New York, on October 10, 1935.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of Deer Isle; his sister, Gloria Callaway of New Jersey; his children, Tyann Hobbs and her husband, Scott Hobbs, Michele Collay, Dewayne and his wife, Juanita, Wayne, Mark and his wife, Teresa, and Joseph Carlton; and 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nina B. Peterson; brothers, George and Norman Powell; and son, Vincent Powell.
