John E. Cobb Obituary

Bangor, Maine - John Cobb of Bangor, Maine, passed away on July 13, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born in Milton, MA, John spent his childhood in Marshfield and Duxbury, places that shaped his early years and remained close to his heart.

He graduated from Duxbury High School in 1978, forming lifelong friendships with Peter Balboni, Keith Huber, Mark Killorin, Eric Arnold, and Dana Bean.

John is survived by his daughters, Anna (Nick) Floyd and Amanda Cobb, who brought him immense pride and joy. He also leaves behind his beloved grandson, Ivan Floyd, whom he cared for during the first year of Ivan's life - a time which became one of John's most cherished roles. John is also survived by his brothers, George (Debbie) and Robert (Dawn) Cobb of Florida; his sister, Debbie of Washington State; and his sister, Corinna of Florida.

John will be remembered for his kindness, his gentle strength, and the way he made others feel at ease.

A celebration of life will be shared by the family at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for you to consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society in John's memory.
