Augusta, Maine - Joanne Marie (Pelletier) Harris, 77, of Augusta, Maine, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on August 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Joanne was born in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada, to Lucien and Leona Legere Pelletier.

She was a woman of deep faith who dedicated her life to her family. Joanne found great joy in the simple blessings of life - sharing her days with her beloved husband, children, and grandchildren.

Joanne is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Henry F. Harris Jr.; her children, Scott and Amy Carmichael Harris, Stephen Harris, and Dylan and Rebekah Harris Lord; and her beloved grandchildren, Hannah Ruth Harris, Jacob Scott Harris, Charleigh Raye Harris-Voisine, Breah Michelle Lord, Caleb Henry Lord, Halle Louise Lord and Cameron Lord. She was predeceased by her parents, Lucien and Leona Pelletier; her mother-in-law, Dorothy Moreau Harris; her father-in-law, Henry F. Harris Sr.; her brothers, Guy and Charles Pelletier; her sisters, Anne-Marie Picard and Marie-Paule Carter; and her infant granddaughter, Jenna Haley Harris.

Joanne was the best of the best - a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, faithful servant of the Lord, and a blessing to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her love, strength, faith, and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and all who loved her. Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort knowing that she is now safe in the arms of Jesus. She will forever be missed, deeply loved, and remembered until the day we see her again.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Church Hill Baptist Church, 258 Church Hill Rd., Augusta, ME, with a luncheon to follow. Burial to be scheduled at a later date at the Maine Veterans' Cemetery on the Mount Vernon Road in Augusta.
