Jennifer Beth (Dawes) Gomm
Her beautiful daughter Mykayla was born on January 11, 1997, and she loved her with her whole heart from the very first moment she laid her eyes on her. On March 22, 2002, she married the love of her life, Lance Gomm. In 2012, they renewed their vows and celebrated with their loving family and friends. They were a special couple who loved each other with everything they had. She was currently employed as an Assistant Program Manager at Geiger Brothers in Lewiston and previously worked for C.N. Brown in Lewiston and Dead River Company in Bangor. Over the years she absolutely loved attending dance recitals for her talented daughter, Mykayla. Jenn dedicated a lot of her time over the past seven years to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, in memory of her brother, Eric Dawes, who passed away on August 28, 2011. During the last few months, Jenn and her family had dress sales and fashion shows to raise money for the cause.
She was a great friend to many and always made everyone laugh. She was smart, confident, dedicated, and unbelievably hard working. She was a vibrant young woman who was never afraid to show her emotions. She was very kind to everyone and was thought of as a "Bright Shining Star".
She will be missed greatly by her husband and his family, her daughter, her dear parents, her loving family, and her many close friends. She is survived by her husband, Lance Gomm, and his family; her parents, Robert and Lucy Dawes; and her daughter Mykayla Dawes; as well as many special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friend; and her beloved dogs, Shelby and Lila. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Henry and Arlene Poland, and Wilfred and Margaret Dawes, her brother, Eric Dawes, her mother-in-law, Joan Gomm, and her brother-in-law, Dwayne T. Murphy.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at Finley Funeral Home, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine. Visitation hours will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Keene's Mills Cemetery, North Parish Road, Turner, Maine, at a later date. If desired contributions can be made in Jenn's memory to The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, Eric's Angels 28, 72 River Park Street, Suite 202, Needham, MA 02494.
