Dennysville, Maine - Jeffery "Jeff" C. McGraw, 63, passed away at his cherished home sanctuary in the woods of Marion, Maine, on December 28, 2025, with his loving wife, Lisa (Sawyer), by his side. He is now experiencing paradise in glory with Jesus.
Jeff was a true warrior who had survived a previous battle with an aggressive cancer in 2013. He did not want cancer to define how or why he lived. Jeff was a hard-working man whose work ethic began at a young age shining shoes on the streets of Philadelphia for a nickel. He was a family man, business owner, dreamer, entrepreneur, sports lover, die-hard fisherman, but above all else, he was a man of God.
He had a successful lifelong career as a diesel mechanic in Maine, having begun turning wrenches with his father as a boy. It was very important to Jeff to be a good provider for his family and leader for his 3 sons, Michael, and twins, Matthew and Marcus, whom he loved so much. Jeff was an old fashioned, principled man - two characteristics his wife deeply loved about him. She will miss his physical presence, his voice, and forever be grateful for their road trips, including the spur of the moment ones to see bands they had never seen before or old ones they loved.
Jeff made many friendships over the years through his work, his love of fishing, and his love for the Lord - friendships he maintained right up until his final day no matter where the person lived. He loved his neighbors, community, church family, and many others who touched his heart. He wanted them all to avoid the trappings of this world and to "live an amazing life." Jeff was always willing to lend a helping hand or offer words of support or rebuke depending on what he felt the situation warranted. Jeff McGraw left a big imprint during his time on earth. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jeff was predeceased by his parents, John "Jack" and Hilda McGraw. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa Sawyer McGraw; his children, Michael McGraw and his wife, Nicole, Matthew McGraw and his wife, Nathalie, and Marcus McGraw; his grandchildren, Riahleigh and Anthony McGraw; his brother, Roy McGraw and his children; his special uncle, Ernie; and too many friends to name.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Machias Christian Fellowship, 3 Davis Rd., Machias, ME. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeff's memory to the Dennysville Fire Dept & Ambulance, 1935 US Route 1, Edmunds Twp, ME 04628.
