Eagle Lake - Jeannine "Gautheret" Voisine-Bouchard of Eagle Lake passed away on July 20, 2019 at Crosswinds Residential Care surrounded by her loving family. Jeannine was born on December 14, 1926 in Arceau, France the daughter of Jules and Marie-Louise (Lebaut) Gautheret. Early on, she faced adversity when the Nazis occupied her community and her home. During the liberation of her town, she met an American soldier, Henry "Jerry" Voisine. This WW 2 war bride and her husband had their first child in France, Betty Marie-France. Once settled in the United States they had eight more children. They built a happy home in Eagle Lake where they enjoyed their children and extended family greatly. Sadly, her husband died tragically on July 22, 1958, leaving her with eight young children (between the ages of two and eleven) to raise. She was fortunate to fall in love with and marry another special man, who was truly good to her, Hector Bouchard, in November 1973. Together they enjoyed all life had to offer including a large extended family and many wonderful trips until he passed in February 1999. All the adversity she faced in her life, all her troubles and obstacles, made the strong woman we know and love. She took great pride in raising a beautiful, hardworking and loving family. She will be truly missed by her eight children: Patrick Voisine of Winterville, Gary Voisine and his wife Linda of Fort Kent, Nancy Voisine of Springfield, Vermont, Judy St. John and her husband Peter of Winterville, Kenneth Voisine and his wife Traci of Mariaville, Betty Theriault and her husband Jean-Marc of Winterville, Sherry Voisine of Lafayette, Louisiana, and Francis Voisine and his wife Annette of Eagle Lake. She will also be missed by the Bouchard family, especially her stepsons, George Bouchard and his wife Simone of Plainville, CT, Brian Bouchard and his partner Giselle of Winterville, and her step-daughter-in law Barbara Bouchard of Satellite Beach, Florida. She was greatly loved and admired by her numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren. She was especially fond of and close to her nieces and nephews gained through the marriage to her first husband Henry "Jerry" Voisine. She never forgot her beautiful homeland (France) and kept in touch with her French family and heritage. She had frequent contact with her cousins in France, as well as their children and is survived by many. Jeannine was predeceased by her parents, Jules and Marie-Louise Gautheret, her first husband, Henry "Jerry" Voisine, her second husband, Hector Bouchard, her sister and brother-in-law, Charles and Paulette Hastir, her eldest daughter, Betty Marie-France, her step-son William Bouchard, and her granddaughter Jessica Theriault. She was considered a true friend to many. The Eagle Lake Senior Citizens Center and their participants were an important part of her life. Many an afternoon was spent playing bingo, pokeno, cards, or just socializing with her dear friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Harris, the Crosswinds staff from administration to nurses, med techs, CNA's, and the activities, cooking, and cleaning staff for your excellent care. You all made her stay so pleasurable and comfortable. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 24 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eagle Lake. Family and friends may call at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home from 8:30AM to 10:30AM on the morning of the service.
