Morrisville, North Carolina - With thankful hearts of a life well-lived, we announce that Jean Stevens Amero, 92, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on January 21, 2026.
Jean was a life-long member of Milo Baptist Church, long-time member of Eastern Star and an active member of her hometown of Milo, ME. Jean worked as a bookkeeper for local businesses as well as the local school district. Jean was born to Fay Almon Stevens and Edna Allen Stevens on June 27, 1933.
She was predeceased by her parents; her sisters, Barbara Redfield (Edwin), Maurena Westberg (Vernon), Priscilla Chase (Edgar), and Sara Richard (Ronald); two brothers, Albion and Fay Stevens, all of Milo; her first husband and father of her children, Albert Perkins; and her second husband, Ronald Amero. She is survived by her sisters, Gwendolyn Bradeen (Paul) of Milo and Jacquelyn Smith (Gordon) of Carmel; her sons, Michael Perkins (Susan) of Bradenton, FL, Kerry Perkins of Apex, NC; two granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; a great-great-grandson; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Milo Cemetery on Park Street, followed by a luncheon at Milo Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to either Milo Baptist Church or the American Diabetes Association.
