Janice D. Lovelette Obituary

Casco, Maine - Janice D. Lovelette, 89, formerly of Presque Isle and Bangor, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, at Country Village Assisted Living in Casco, Maine. She was born in Houlton, Maine, January 2, 1937, daughter of Louis and Isabelle Cyr.

Janice "Ducky" grew up and attended school in Houlton, Maine. She met and married her husband Allen at the age of 19. They shared 61 years together. Allen and Janice spent most of their lives in Presque Isle raising their children and forming many lifelong friendships. Janice was a wife, mother, and homemaker while raising her young family. Once her children were in school, she began her career as an office manager for a doctor in Presque Isle. A job she enjoyed for many years. After they retired, the couple moved to Hermon, Maine, where they were closer to family and their grandchildren. Spending time with her beloved grandchildren was one of her most cherished roles.

She was predeceased by her husband, Allen; and her siblings, Madeline Reynolds, Earl Cyr, Phyllis Murphy, Yvonne Lovelette, Edward Cyr, Betty Jenkins, Marie Jenkins, Louis "Buddy" Cyr, Leland Cyr, and Margaret Parker. Janice is survived by her son, Larry Lovelette and his wife, Debra; two daughters, Beth Guerrette and her husband, Todd, and Denise Allen and her husband, Albert; eight grandchildren, Renee Lanning, Sarah Labreck, Michael Lovelette, Travis Guerrette, Brandon Guerrette, Joshua Allen, Christopher Allen and Mathew Allen; and 13 great-grandchildren, Annalise, Ashlynn, Chloe, Noah, Logan, Parker, Bode, Julian, Weston, Landon, Claire, Grace, and Lillian.

We are thankful that our family gathered with her to say goodbye, and grateful for the loving care she received at Country Village Assisted Living.
