Dear Bartley Family,

Jane (Mrs. Bartley as a child) loomed large in my life while growing up at 3 Winter Street in Millinocket just up the road. She had a special spirit that was intelligent, loving, generous, funny - all the best. Whenever I set foot in her home - to babysit or drop something off - the welcome was always friendly and warm. I feel so grateful to have known her in my formative years and then to have had the occasional visit with her in Millinocket with Mom (Doreen) in her later years. Please accept my condolences on your loss.

Sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. She definitely was an incredible lady, and wasn't ready to go until SHE was ready to go. Appears she lived a fruitful life and you all must have fond memories to help you through this tumultuous time. Best to you all.

Dear Peter, Jon and Jeff, My sincerest heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Your Mom and Dad were long-time friends of the Nicholsons and enjoyed many, many good times together over the years, leaving behind lots of very good memories. I went on several of their journeys to Europe and always had a fabulous time. Your Dad would always lead the group with his umbrella held high. Jayne would make sure we all followed along, laughing all the way. They were really fun times. Treasure all your special moments you shared over the years. Memories are forever. And know they are all together again having a grand old reunion, I'm sure. God Bless.

So sorry to hear of Jayne’s passing. I babysat her boys, taught school with her, made baskets, played bridge, and worked on church projects with her. She was a mentor, a friend, and an energetic participant in our community. She will be missed! Condolences to her wonderful family.

Dear Bartley “kids”—Your Mom was a very special friend who organized our “S&B” group when she retired from teaching. We had so many “fun” times—lots of good memories. She will be missed. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
