Ocala, Florida - James A. Webster, 59, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026.

James grew up in Holden and spent 25 yers living in Benicia, CA. James graduated from Brewer High School in 1985 and attended the University of Southern Maine. James was a licensed residential real estate appraiser, with prior jobs as a salesman. James was everybody's buddy and was well liked by all. He had a way of putting people at ease. If you sat next to him on an airplane, he would either sleep the entire flight or be your best friend.

James is survived by his mother, Pamela; his brother, Scott and his husband, Peter Black; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. James was predeceased by his father, Frederick. James is also survived by his best friends, Mike Blanchard of Brewer and Curtis Hayes of Benicia, CA.

Friends and relatives are invited to share conversation and refreshments at a celebration of life at the Sea Dog, 26 Front St., Bangor, on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 3 p.m. with a program at 4 p.m. A second celebration of life will be at Benicia Veteran's Memorial Hall, 1150 First St., Benicia, CA, on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 2 p.m. with a program at 3 p.m. Private interment will be at Harts Corner Cemetery, Holden. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations in James's memory to your favorite charity.
