James Morrison (Jim) Obituary
Bucksport, Maine - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Morrison on October 29, 2024, at the age of 70. James was born on October 13, 1954, in Bangor, Maine, to Sonny and Iva (Iva Goode) Morrison.
James, who often went by "Jim" grew up on the family farm in Bucksport, Maine. He graduated from Bucksport High School, and swiftly joined the Navy Seabees as a construction mechanic. Later stationed in California, Rhode Island, Spain, Mississippi, Puerto Rico, and Cuba. He later moved back to the family farm in Bucksport to settle.
Jim was well known for his excellent farming ability. An avid gardener, good neighbor and friend. He served on the Bucksport Town Council, and was a voice for seniors and delivered meals regularly. One would often see Jimmy gifting eggs or vegetables from his farm. He was passionate in his ideas and kind-hearted.
Jim is survived by his brother, Harold Morrison and his wife, Charmaine, of Bucksport, Maine; brother, Pearly Morrison of Soldovia, Alaska. Susan Sprague, friend and mother of his children; son, Jeffrey Morrison, wife, Christine, grandchildren, James and Shane of Gorham, Maine; son, Kenneth Morrison, wife, Christina, grandchildren, McKenna, Conner, and Kellan of Plantation, Florida; and daughter, Erica Godino, husband, Jordan, and granddaughter, Katelynn, of Surry, Maine.
