Corinth, Maine - James E DuMont Sr. 86, went home to be with the Lord on January 30, 2026. James was the husband of Donna R DuMont, and they shared 68 years of marriage. Born in Old Town, Maine, James was the son of Camille and Doris DuMont.

James left school at the age of 15 to work with his father and that is when his trucking career began and lasted until the age of 83. Throughout his 68 years of driving he made many lifelong friends as he was highly regarded for his strong work ethic and easy-going personality. James belonged to the Charleston church. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He will be remembered for always being available for his family and friends. He would always tell his loved ones, "You're making memories."

James is survived by his wife, Donna R DuMont; sons, James E DuMont Jr., Robert DuMont, and Steven DuMont; and daughter, Brenda Theriault. He is also survived by a brother, Sonny DuMont. James and Sonny were inseparable growing up and often confused as twins. James was beloved by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
