Ellsworth - On May 4th, 2019, our family unexpectedly lost the most amazing, gentle soul, Jacob Douglas Sinclair "Jake". Jake was born on April 5th, 1987 in Blue Hill to his proud parents, Lawrence Randy Sinclair Sr. and Althea (Sinclair) Wentworth, who cherished their baby boy Jake. This world has lost a kind man who will be sadly missed by so many family and friends.
Jake will be remembered for his genuine heart and always giving to others before himself. His light of his life was his son, Ki; this special boy brought immense joy and love into Jake's life. Jake grew up in Ellsworth, Maine and will always be known as Little Randy and Lori's little brother. The three are bonded souls who will always be connected. He enjoyed his dogs, Quincy and Joy; and Louie who he has now joined in Heaven. He also had plans to be a dog breeder and had a sweet way with animals. Jake was a brilliant, devoted partner with his Dad, Randy in the family business, Sinclair Builders, for many years. He reached out to the community not only as a business owner, but as a caring and honest man. Jake's ideas to expand opportunities in business were creative and his optimistic approach is admired by many. In high school, Jake was a state champion in wrestling and as his friend Jim recently said, "Some people's strength is hard to explain". He wanted to teach Ki how to wrestle just like his Dada. Jake is remembered by youths as a great coach and fair to all. He enjoyed family time such as quality time with his fianceé Brittany and Ki, Sunday dinners at his Moms, Summer days at his Dad's camp on George's Pond, family trips, and never once missed a birthday for his nieces. Jake loved to create and work on special projects around his home, watch movies, go to the gym, take late night rides, and explore new ideas with his unique thoughts.
Jake is survived by his parents Randy Sr. and Althea, his fianceé whom he cherished as his princess, Brittany Whitmore, and their beautiful son Maleki "Ki", his sister Lori Sinclair-Rowley and husband Steve, nieces Mariah Brown and Marissa Atwater, Sister Olivia Sinclair and step-brother Matt Meserve and step -mother Pamela Sinclair, step-brother J.D. Wentworth, Uncles: Sonny Sinclair and wife Jada, Ricky Sinclair and wife Jane, John Sinclair and wife Stacy, Aunts: Cindy Sargent and husband Uncle Mike, Debbie Sinclair, Tanya Chattley and husband Charles, Charlene Grindle, Wanda Kimball, and many special cousins and extended family. He is also survived by Brittany's parents Henry and Lisa and family, and best friends Jim, Scott, George, Chris, and Jesse along with so many more friends, too many to list.
Jake was predeceased by his brother and best friend, Lawrence Randy Sinclair Jr. and many other special family members. Jake and Little Randy are now together for eternity while they watch over their loved ones and wait for them in heaven.
Visiting hours will be held from 5-8 PM on Monday, May 13, 2019 at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, 215 Main Street, Ellsworth, ME. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Ellsworth High School Auditorium. Private interment will be held in the Morse Cemetery in Harrington at a later date.

The news of your passing shook me to the core. I'm still in a state of disbelief that another close friend I called brother has passed. When I recollect on past memory of fun times at a pit parties
or township 8 swimming and camping. Playing football or wrestling and even the mischievous times I'll keep to myself all have you apart of my favorite past times. To the Family I'd like you to know that I'm deeply sorry for your losses and I'll always have upmost respect and love for your family and am grateful for the times I've shared in your homes.

I am so sorry about the loss of Jake to his family. I had many occasions to talk with him and he was so committed to his family, the business, and this community. My heartfelt condolences to you all. I hope the fact that he was so cared for by the people who knew him either well, or just in passing brings you comfort. His memory will indeed live on.
