Brewer and Whiting - Harold K. Wasson, 53 of Brewer and Whiting, passed away on February 18, 2019. He was born June 28, 1965 in Meriden, CT, the son of Kenneth and Gloria (Dinsmore) Wasson.
After graduating from Lubec High School he enlisted in the U.S. Airforce. He was stationed at Holloman AFB at Alamogordo, NH, Osan Airbase in Korea and Dover AFB, Dover, DE where he worked as a heavy equipment operator. While in Korea he visited the Philippines where he met and later married Ramonita (Leah) Dizon. After leaving the Air Force he worked for Tilcon Construction in Dover, DE and was an active member of the Dover American Legion Post #2. He did eventually return to Maine and was currently employed by Owen J.Folson, Inc. in Searsport.
In his spare time, Harold loved fishing, watching the New England Patriots and NASCAR and cruising in his Mercedes in the summer.
He is survived by his mother, Gloria Wasson of Brewer, sister, Julie Foss and husband Scott of Holden, brother, Michael Wasson of Brewer, nieces Chelsea and Courtney and nephews Ben, Carter and Caleb. He was predeceased by his father, Kenneth Wasson and his stepson, Kenneth Dizon.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date this summer.

I went to school with harold, we graduated in 1984. He was such a nice person. The whole class will be saddened by this news. I haven't seen harold for quite sometime but it seems like yesterday after seeing his picture. Rest easy my friend.
