Gregory Roger Turner Obituary

Sullivan, Maine - Gregory Roger Turner died on June 17, 2026, at Eastern Maine Hospital in Bangor, at the age of 71.

He graduated from Sumner Memorial High School in 1975. When Greg was young he mowed the lawns of neighbors. He worked at Jerry's Hardware in Sullivan from when it opened until it closed. Greg owned his own business, Turner Lawncare. Other jobs he had were DeCoster egg farm in Turner, Maine, McDonald's and Walmart in Ellsworth, and the Hancock and Sullivan transfer station. He also volunteered at the Sullivan Fire Department. Greg loved women, he was married four times.

He was preceded by parents, Ruby and Gerald E. Turner; two brothers, Ricky and Gerald "Billy" Turner; and a daughter, Amanda. He is survived by a sister, Brenda and her husband, Tom; brothers, Timothy and Bradley; his children, Amy, Michael, and Preston and fiancée, Debbie; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces. The light of Greg's life was his grandchildren, Nathaniel, Becca, Alexia, Arianna, Antonio, Brooklin, and Dillion. He was preceded by grandchildren, Layda, Nevaeh, and Paige.

He was laid to rest on July 15 by his daughter, Amanda. We are having a remembrance day and service for Greg at 11 a.m. July 19 at Blaisdell Cemetery, River Road, North Sullivan. After the service, come to the rec. center to eat and sit together and tell stories of Greg.
