Boothbay Harbor - BOOTHBAY HARBOR - Gloria L. Pinkham, 89, formerly of Portland and Milbridge, passed away peacefully Jan. 16, 2013, at her home. Gloria was born Dec. 10, 1923, in Portland, the only child of Cecil and Gladys (Pettengill) Preble.

Gloria was a 1942 graduate of Deering High School. She was a former member of Woodfords Congregational Church. Grams was a wonderful baker and knitter, and her family was the recipient of many goodies and afghans.

Gloria was predeceased by husband, Grant Thibeault, who was killed in World War II; and by husband, Lawrence Sorenson, who died in 1963. Gloria is survived by her husband of 37 years, Francis of Boothbay Harbor; son, Peter and Bette Thibeault of Lewiston; daughters, Melinda and Robert Dorr of Standish and Lynne and Paul Kelly of Portland; stepson, Irving and Margaret Pinkham of East Boothbay; grandchildren, Liesse Thibeault of Portland, Paul and Melinda Thibeault of Hallowell, Sarah and Cory Carrier of Saco, Hillary and Tony Cuffori of Lewiston, Michael and Heather Kelly of Westbrook, Robb Dorr and fiancée, Jenni, of San Diego, Matthew Pinkham of East Boothbay and Timothy and Alexandra Pinkham of Boothbay Harbor; and great-grandchildren, Samuel and Madeline Thibeault, Nakomis and Silas Cuffori, Lauren and Isabelle Carrier, River and Saylor Pinkham and baby Kelly, who is due in June. Gloria's family is grateful to Lynn, Brenda and Valerie for the care given during the past few months.

Visiting hours are 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, at Dolby and Dorr Funeral Chapel, 76 State St., Gorham, where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21.
