Hampden, Maine - Gloria Elaine (Otis) Bennett, 89, passed away unexpectedly, July 14, 2026, with family present. She was born on June 16, 1937, in Frankfort, where she was raised by her grandparents.

As a teenager, "Dode" attended Brewer High School and met her future husband, "Jimmy." They were married her senior year, she graduated, and they began a family. She enjoyed reading, spending time at Prong Pond, cooking and baking, both for family and friends, and also baking in the school cafeteria. She treasured the many children she babysat throughout the years. She and Jim had many great times RVing with the Shriners.

Gloria was predeceased by her husband, James; and two sons, Jeff and Tim. Surviving are two sons, Doug and Joe; her beloved daughter, Angie; and their spouses, Marlys, Penny, and Adam. She loved her eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Locust Grove Cemetery in Hampden. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com.
