Gene Michael Remeschatis

Ludlow - It is with great sadness that the family of G. Michael Remeschatis announce his passing on July 28th, 2019, following a brief illness. Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, Mike was a skilled craftsman in every sense of the word, taking great care and pride in all the building projects he worked on, including skillfully constructing his own beautiful home in Ludlow. A gentleman and scholar, Mike delighted in his family and will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife and best friend of 40 years, Mari, and children Tabitha and Andrew. Mike will also be greatly missed by his two beautiful granddaughters, Alexis and Gabriella, for whom he planted special pear trees that fruited for the first time this year.
In addition to his immediate family, Mike leaves behind sister Caryl Jean Rauseo (Anthony) sister Rosemary Remeschatis, brother James Remeschatis (Joyce), brother-in-law, Gregory Smedal (Debby), Matthew Smedal (Lyndon James) and sister-in-law Katrina Robillard (Kerry), nieces and nephews, stepmother Kathy Pluff (Joseph), in-laws Harald Smedal (Susan) and Connie Henderson (Greg). Meredith Bishop also held a special place in Mike's heart.
Family and friends are welcomed to a celebration of Mike's life at the family residence on the Hemore Rd in Ludlow, on Sunday, August 18th at 1:00. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation and gratitude for the support and love extended to them during Mike's illness.

Dear son in law, I am sitting looking out our window here and I can see the Rhododendron you and Mari planted here. Thinking of you and what you mean to us. We loved especially watching you with the little ones. We cherish these memories. Always with us in our hearts.
