Levant, Maine - Gary E. Mullen, 90, of Levant, passed away peacefully at his home on September 29, 2025, where he has lived since he was 3 months old. Gary was born in Mars Hill, Maine, in January 1935, to Guy and Rhoda Mullen.
He was the owner of Gary E. Mullen construction. He worked for the State of Maine for 45 seasons building roads across the state. He spent winters plowing roads in the greater Levant area. He spent his spare time working the family farm. He had great pride and love for his Farmall tractors and tractor pulling.
Gary was predeceased by his son, Gary Guy. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Ethel; his daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and William Smedburg; granddaughter, Christine Eastwood; and great-granddaughter, Brooke (Kevin), all of Levant.
There will be a celebration of life on October 5 at Gary and Ethel's home from 12 to 4 p.m.
