Gary Alan Craig Sr.
Oakland - Gary A. Craig, Sr. entered into eternal life on July 28, 2019, at the age of 64. He was born on March 16,1955, to George and Gloria Craig. He graduated in 1974 from Bangor High School, where he was an accomplished athlete. Upon graduation, he immediately started work. Gary was a long-time community member and businessman in Central Maine, tackling a variety of entrepreneurial endeavors beginning with the family business, Northeast Dodge Toyota and Northeast Chrysler Plymouth. Gary was highly successful in creative property development (Mayflower Heights in Oakland) as well as business management (Roof Cleaning Solutions). Gary loved the outdoors and was always there for friends and family in their time of need.
Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Teresa (Terry) Craig. In their 38 years of marriage, they were devoted partners in life, love, faith, family and business. He leaves behind his children and their families: Jennifer Cyr and her husband, Matthew of Bradley, Gary A. Craig, Jr. and his wife Sarah of Old Town, Colby Craig and his wife, Danika of Oakland. Gary was a devoted father and grandfather and took great pride in his family. He adored his grandchildren: Madelyn, Meredith, Logan, and baby Craig due this September. His wisdom, bear hugs and smile will be desperately missed.
Gary leaves behind his mother, Gloria Sweet Craig of Brewer, and siblings Gayle Gonzales and her husband Floyd of Brewer, Glen Craig and wife Marylou of Winterport, Garrel Craig and wife Judy of Brewer, in-laws Ted and Anne Greene of Lubec, sister-in-law Linda Burke and her husband Brad of Cape Elizabeth and brother-in-law, Steve Greene and wife Debbie of Raleigh. He is uncle to many: Crystal, Craig, Chris, Cory, Beth, McKenzie, Chase, Taylor, Rachel, Skyler, Amy, Laura, and Sara, and was blessed with many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Gary was predeceased by his father, George Craig, sister, Gwen Craig Franck, niece, Jana Franck, and nephew, Hunter Burke. They are surely rejoicing together in heaven.
A celebration of Gary's life will be held on Sunday August 4th, 2019, at 2:00pm at the Skowhegan Foursquare Church, 202 Norridgewock Avenue, Skowhegan, Maine. In his memory, please offer a prayer for Gary and his family and welcome the Lord Jesus Christ into your hearts and minds today.

The Craig’s were our neighbors for years and they couldn’t have been a nicer family to have as our neighbors. Gary was such a great guy. Always smiling and laughing. He will be missed by so many. So sorry for your loss.

If we're fortunate, we meet many people who enrich our life journey through their love & actions. We are indeed blessed if we find those people within our circle of friends & family, as they make a meaningful and positive impact throughout our daily lives.
Gary's beliefs and concern for others underscored everything he did, and our lives were deeply touched by the love, care, and laughter of our wonderful, kind brother-in-law.

I first want to say I’m am so sorry for your loss. Gary was a amazing man. I first met Gary when I came to TC on the pressure washing crew. I remember all the encouraging talks we had. I thank God that God allowed me to meet this man. All of you will be in my prayers

I didn't know Gary as well as the rest of the Craig Family but do remember he was a great guy. Nicest folks I've ever known, all the good people working with Northeast Dodge and Northeast Chrysler back in the "good old days". May Gary's spirit live on in all that knew and loved him...

The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:
The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
