Exeter, Maine - Gail Helene (Cossar) Hanson, 82, passed away unexpectedly August 27, 2020, in a Bangor hospital. She was born on March 15th, 1938, to Herbert E. and Ellen "Marguerite" Cossar.

She is survived by her companion Robin Walker, sister-in-law Sandra Cossar, nephew and wife DeWayne and Terry Cossar, and niece Julie Warner.

Gail worked in the shoe industry for most of her life, Dexter, SAS, and 23+ years at Ansewn Shoe where she stitched. She enjoyed a simple life, loved her cat(s) and feeding the birds, reading, and enjoyed conversing with the "boys" at Dexter transfer station and the "girls" at the Exeter store. She was remarkably kind to everyone she met, she enjoyed going for rides, a "trip around the block" was Corinth-Dover-Dexter-Exeter. Eating out was her "thing", not sure if it was the food or the random conversations with people, either way, she liked to eat out!

A graveside committal service will be held on Friday, September 4th, 2020, at 5pm at Center Cemetery in Exeter.
