Veazie, Maine - Freeland B. Trafton, 81, of Veazie passed peacefully on June 3, 2026, in a Bangor hospital. He was born April 6, 1945.
He married Bonnie Fleckenstein in 1964 and they were married for 61 years and had three children, Freeland, Christopher, and Dawn. He was deeply loved by his wife and children. He always had a smile and was an amazing husband and father, who was always there when he was needed. He loved fishing with his wife, Bonnie, and spending time with his family.
Freeland is survived by his wife, sons, and daughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.
He was a retired painter and silk screener from Nautel of Maine and also used to run mall craft fairs with his wife for many years. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
A private funeral is planned.
