Lowell, Maine - It is with profound sadness that the family of Frederick "Ted" Thomas, of Lowell, Maine, announces his sudden passing on August 30, 2025.

Ted is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Beth Thomas (Vanadestine); and their two daughters, Amanda her husband, Jason Spencer, and Lacey and her husband, Andy Weymouth. Ted's greatest joy in life were his four grandchildren, Thomas, Natalie, Alex, and Ben - each of whom brought him immeasurable happiness and pride.

In 1973, Ted joined his father at Thomas Distributors, where he would go on to build a thriving, multi-state business. His unmatched charisma, natural gift for dealmaking and masterful conversational skills were the hallmarks of the many outstanding business relationships he enjoyed. Ted was a born salesman from the coast to the county.

Ted and Beth raised their daughters with enduring love and countless memories, especially at their cherished beach condo in Englewood, Florida, a place they consider a second home and a haven for family joy.

Ted was deeply loved and will be forever missed by his family, Katie and Bob Johnson, Cynthia and Carl Parker, Marianne and Morgan Parker, Debbie and Terry Davis, Andy and Betsy Vanadestine, Susanne and Marty Gray, Julie and Jim Foster, and Michael and Jodi Vanadestine. He was also adored by all his nieces and nephews.

Ted will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, love of lively conversation, infectious humor, and above all his unwavering devotion to his family.

Ted was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Lillian Thomas of Burlington, Maine.
