Lincoln - Frances (Tootsie) C. LaCroix Littlefield, 80, passed away September 14, 2018 after a brief stay at Cummings Nursing Home. She was born in Howland, the daughter of Arthur and Victoria Theriault LaCroix. She was married to Wayne Littlefield.
Frances was a warm and kind lady to all who knew her. She had many friends, old and new, and will be dearly missed. She loved to make people smile and spent many cherished hours singing in the church choir or dressing up and visiting area nursing homes to bring joy to the patients. She had a passion for rocks and over the years collected wheel barrels full. Frances was an active member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, often assisting in providing funeral luncheons. She belonged to the Daughters of Isabella and the Ladies of St. Anne.
Frances was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Wayne Littlefield; her sisters, Dora LaCroix, Jeanette Brown, Irene Henderson and her brother, Gerald LaCroix. She is survived by her sons Bruce Littlefield, Scott Littlefield and Megaen, Steven Littlefield and Tammy, Wayne Littlefield and Ruth; her daughter, Darlene Ploch and David; 10 grandchildren, Brandon Soucier and Stacy, Kyle Smith, Arica Millett and Shaun, Jolie Greatorex and Tony, Allison Mclaughlin, Matthew Bruce, Haylee and Jonathan Littlefield, Riley Ploch, Taylor Ploch and Sarah, and Jameson Ploch; great-grandchildren: Camryn and Clayton Smith, Camden, Blake, and Avery Gagnon, Ethan Millet, Gabe, Patricia and Rylee Bruce, several nieces and nephews and dear friends, Sue Bailey and Mary Ann Tudor.
Friends may call 6-8 pm Tuesday, September 18 at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln. A mass of Christian burial will be held 3 pm Wednesday, September 19 at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Howland. Refreshments will be served following the service. A graveside service will be held 5 pm Friday, September 21 at the Town Line Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Leo's Catholic Church Choir Fund or to Fuel Assistance Fund at Daughters of Isabella.
