Belfast, Maine - Forrest W. Warren, 82, passed away at his home on July 1, 2025. Born in Belfast, Maine, on March 6, 1943, to Marion Tozier Warren (King) and Leo Warren, he spent much of his lifetime in Belfast, Maine. He was the youngest of five children, who had previously passed on, Albert, Carroll, Walter and Mildred.

While growing up in Swanville, Forrest loved to fish and swim at Swan Lake with his friends. As a teenager he loved to drive fast on the back roads when playing hooky from school. He married the love of his life, Judith A. Bakeman, on September 25, 1965, in Belfast. She predeceased him on March 26, 2019. Forrest and Judy lived and shared a happy life together for 53 years.

Forrest worked as a programmer in the poultry industry in Belfast, Maine, (both Maplewood and Penobscot), eventually moving to an executive position at Scott Paper Company. As a computer programmer in the paper industry, he developed innovative computer technology that had far reaching effects within the industry.

In retirement he founded an investment company known as Sunrise Investments, where he managed and developed financial portfolios for his clients. He took leadership roles in various organizations within the community and was always proud to represent Belfast and Maine on his travels. Forrest looked forward to his winters in Myrtle Beach.

Forrest was known for a deep knowledge of history, an enthusiastic participant in the stock market, a contagious sense of humor and a certain kindness to his friends and family.

He was predeceased by his supportive son-in-law, Dr. Thomas Bosma; and leaves two loving daughters and their families, Tracy L. Warren Bosma and two grandchildren, Jake and Julia Bosma, and Trisha L. Warren-VanHorn, a beloved son-in-law, Nelson VanHorn, and a loving grandson, Aiden Warren-Van Horn. He is also survived by his two older grandchildren, Sarah Doudera and her husband, Matt, and Alex VanHorn and his fiancée, Lexi. Later in life, Forrest shared a special relationship with Terry Martin, a special friend and companion.

A celebration of life will be held on August 2 at 2 p.m. at the Shrine Club in Belfast, Maine. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Belfast Maine Rotary Club.
