Florence May Lizzotte

Brewer - Florence May Lizzotte, my wife died on July 9, 2019 peacefully at a local care center following a brief illness. She was 80 years old.
Florence was born Florence May Thorpe in Lynn Massachusetts on September 17, 1938 the daughter of Ruth and Lewis Thorpe. She graduated from English High School, class of 1956. Florence married her first husband shortly after and raised six children, five boys and one girl. After her first marriage was over she settled in Maine in 1974. She worked as head waitress at Sings restaurant for 16 years. Along the way she met me, Kenneth H. Lizzotte, we fell in love and were married in 1988. I worked in the supermarket business for 54 years starting in 1953 and retiring in 2007. My greatest joy however was when Florence and I joined forces in a collectibles and antique business for 33 years prior to and after our retirement. Florence was very business smart and took control in many ways. She was very good at the buying and selling part of things. I Kenneth, her husband credit her for much of the enjoyment we found in the business. Together we attended many Antique and Collectible shows and were based out of Searsport and School House Antiques in Brewer.
If you knew Florence you could not help but like her and be drawn to her warmth and sincere manner. She was loved by all.
Florence is survived by her devoted husband Kenneth H. Lizzotte; her children, Wendy Massey, Edward Kingsbury, Eric Kingsbury, Earl Kingsbury and Paul Kingsbury; brother Ralph Thorpe; 22 grand and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son James Kingsbury.
Out of respect for Florence's wishes there will be no funeral services. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later time.
All will miss her fondly. I will always be thankful and blessed that I met her and grew to know and love her. Goodbye Florence, rest in peace until we meet again. I will always love you. Your grateful husband Kenneth. Thank you Florence.
