Since then he has worked as a lead programmer/mentor on the Brewer High School FIRST Robotics Team (Orange Chaos) and held multiple software development positions at UMaine.
At a younger age, Evan excelled in Taekwondo at the ATA in Bangor where he obtained the rank of 2nd degree Black belt. He also was a member of Troop 25 Hermon Boy Scouts for several years.
"Evan was an exceptional young man who positively impacted the lives of all who knew him."

My deepest sympathies to all. Young people are not meant to go before their parents and too many are having to experience this. I haven't met him but wish I had. He sounds like an amazing young man.

I’m very sorry for you loss.. I knew Evan from school.. he had a contagious smile. And he always showed how the accomplishments he did made him feel. He was really kind and caring. And showed my sister and I what a true friend was. And when we had to move away he was the only one to wish my sister good luck.. I will never forget him. He will always be a friend. Sending prayers and love to your family in these times..

My condolences goes out to your family. Times such as these are tough. Especially when you lose someone so young. May you receive strength and encouragement from the “Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort” in your time of need. He also promise that one day we’ll be able to see our love ones again by means of a “resurrection”.

I was deeply saddened to read of your families tragic loss.
I have no words to fill the emptiness in your hearts, but I wanted to share a promise the creator had written that our family has been comforted by at Revelation 21:4,5 It promises that soon there will be no more suffering, pain or death! These will be gone and we will be able to reunite with our loved ones who have passed and see them happily enjoying life as it should be, in full health and vigor. There are more promises to come which you can find on the website JW.ORG.

I am so sorry for your tragic loss. I will pray for strength and peace in the coming days, weeks, months and years. This journey you are embarking on is a road no family wants to ever take. Please be patient with your journey through grief. I can share with you that from my experience of losing a child that there will be enormous sadness, anger, confusion, and endless tears. It will sometimes feel like you are going to die yourself. You are strong enough to make it through this part of your life's journey, even if you sometimes feel like you don't want to. You will see Evan in your memories, dreams and then the ultimate reunion in Heaven. I love you and will keep you forever in my pr...ayers. Love, ShannonRead more

Annette and Jim - my heart aches for you. I remember your excitement when Evan was born. Whenever I would ask how he was doing you would always reply - " He's awesome!" He was awesome, and I can't even begin to imagine the void you're feeling. You and your family are all in my thoughts and prayers.
