Ellsworth - Eva M. Dichard, 85, long time resident of Bucksport, Maine, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2019, at Seaport Village Nursing Home in Ellsworth. Eva was born in Newburyport on February 28, 1933, daughter of the late Newell and Anna (Cullin) Eaton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Dichard. Raised in Newburyport, Eva lived in many locations during Charles Navy career before settling in Bucksport in the late 1960s.
A loving wife, mother, and grandmother she always enjoyed her time with her family. Eva was a bingo enthusiast and the family always kidded they knew when it was bingo night as dinner was early and tabled cleared so not to miss the starting games.
She is survived by daughter, Denise Arnold and husband, Danny, of Bow, NH; son, Michael Dichard of Millvale, ME; son, Peter Dichard and his wife, Cheryl, of Morrisville, NC; son, Matthew Dichard of Bangor, ME; and daughter, Marcy Kelley and her husband, Peter, of Lubbock, TX.
Blessed with seven grandchildren, Jennifer and her husband Tom, Pete, Zachary, Lia, Ryan, Maddie, Nathan and four great-grandchildren, Hannah, Nicholas, Dylan, and Gavin. She is also survived by her two brothers, Newell Eaton Jr. and wife, Lorraine of Hampton Falls, NH, and Charles Eaton and wife, Polly, of South Hampton, NH, and many nieces and nephews. She was a sister to the late Mary Colby and Genevieve Corley and surviving brother-in-law, James Corley.
The family would like to give special thanks to Vicky and Jim Kelley of Ellsworth, ME, and Pat and Bryant White of Bucksport, ME, for their caring friendship and support for Eva for many years.
Memorial service will be June 7, 2019, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home in Bucksport, ME, followed by burial at the Catholic Cemetery in Bucksport.
