Bucksport, Maine - Elizabeth Mary (Anderson) Bowden, 93, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Ross Manor, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 2, 1932, the daughter of Edith L. (Conary) and Harold L. Anderson.
Elizabeth was an active member of the Riverside Chapter#123 Order of the Eastern Star, Arbutus Grange, Duck Cove Community Club, and Maine Extension Homemakers. She enjoyed volunteering in the community and helping others. She loved the Boston Red Sox and playing bingo.
Elizabeth is survived by one daughter, Lisa Chamberlain and husband, Bruce, of Eddington; grandchildren, Shane Chamberlain and fiancée, Holly Michaud, of Hermon, Tyler Chamberlain and wife, Lindsay, of Orrington; great-grandchildren, Amia Chamberlain of Hermon, and Ryan Chamberlain of Orrington; one brother, James Anderson of Surry; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Bowden; son, Lane Bowden; sister, Pauline O'Donnell; and two brothers, Donald Conners and Harold Anderson Jr.
Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Orland. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Elizabeth may be sent to Orland United Methodist Church, 24 Narramissic Drive, Orland, ME 04472.
