Eleanor Isaac Panitz
January 11, 1955 - July 19, 2025
Bradenton -
Eleanor Isaac Panitz passed away on July 19, 2025, after a short illness. Eleanor was born in Millinocket, the daughter of Virginia (Cyr) and John Isaac, on January 11, 1955. Eleanor grew up in Norcross, Maine, and moved to Millinocket, Maine, with her family in her teens. She graduated from Stearns High School, class of 1973.
Eleanor was predeceased by her mother, Virginia C. Metcalf; and her sister, JoAnne Isaac Pies. She is survived by her father, John Isaac of Listuguj, Quebec; sisters, Julie Ayotte and Pamela Isaac; two nieces, Nicole Rosebush and Jamie Jacobs; and a nephew, Joseph Streams. In addition, she leaves behind two great-nieces, Alyssa Rosebush and Heleina Streams; and two great-nephews, Joshua Rosebush and Alex Jacobs. Also left behind are two very good friends, Joanne and Phil Reeves; and her two cats, Casey and Neo, whom she loved dearly.
Ellie's passion was reading, which led to a life of learning. We often teased that she would read the dictionary if nothing else was available. Ellie became a lifelong student, attending different colleges throughout her life and earning herself several degrees.
Private burial services will be held at a later date.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
Tree Planting Timeline
Orders placed in:
