Eleanor M. Flood
She had been employed for both SAS Shoe and Northeast Shoe, working as a utility operator. She also had worked for the Palmyra Parks and Recreation Department, volunteered at the Palmyra Library and was a Girl Scout Leader.
Eleanor was very giving. She enjoyed knitting hats and donating to the local hospitals and schools. She liked bird watching, coin collecting, and going to yard sales with her posse. She was an avid Yankees fan, enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and watching NASCAR. She liked playing games, especially Cribbage, Poker and Texas Holdem. She was deeply loved by her family and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her children, Frances (Tootsie) Huff, Andrew Flood and wife, Loretta, Linda Howe, Michael Flood, Edwin Flood, Peter Flood, Tina Bradford and husband, Mark, Martin Flood and companion, Sheila Frost, Christine Rowe and husband, Dennis, Tricia Bubar and husband, Reggie, Aimee Graves and husband, Steve, and Jennifer LaBrecque and husband, Joey; 34 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Hilda Hawkins; two brothers, Thomas Braley and wife, Phyllis and Steve Braley; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her son, Joe Flood; son-in-law, Harry Huff; granddaughter, Little Aimee Lasco; twin sister, Lucille Flood; and brother, Michael Braley.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018, at the Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Avenue, Pittsfield. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, November 11, at the funeral home. A committal will immediately follow at the Palmyra Village Cemetery, Warren Hill Road, Palmyra. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Pine Tree Camps, 114 Pine Tree Camp Road, Rome, Maine, 04963.
