Groton, MA, Massachusetts - Edward Donald Luchetti passed away on July 30, 2026. Born in Passaic, New Jersey, in 1942, he grew up in Clifton but spent most of his life living in Maine.

An honor student at the New York Military Academy, he went on to have a successful career in a job he really loved with the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad, where he also served as a local union representative (UTU). A voracious reader, he was a connoisseur of literature. He relished completing the NY Times crossword puzzles. He had a zest for life and especially loved taking his family on adventures. He was an exceptional gourmet cook who enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends, and a dedicated gardener who cultivated large vegetable gardens and beautiful flower gardens.

He is survived by his daughters, Lisa, and her husband, Mark, and Nina; his sister, "Chippy"; his brother, Bobby; his grandchildren, Marcella, Nino, Caroline, Jackson, and Eliza; and nieces and nephews, and extended family. He was predeceased in 2021 by his son, Edward Donald Luchetti, who shared his name. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
