Lakeland, Fla. - Edward George Henderson of Lakeland, FL born to Robert and Helen (Gallop) Henderson on February 13, 1944 in Houlton, ME went home to be with His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 23, 2019. A graduate of Ricker Classical Institute, Gordon College and Atlantic Baptist College he served the Lord as a pastor in Maine, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia for many years. Ed also worked at Breed Technology and JCPenney in Lakeland, FL. Ed loved reading and studying the Word of God and especially loved spending time exploring the woods and enjoying the many animals of God's beautiful creation as an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Ed was a member of the First Baptist Church at the Mall in Lakeland, FL.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Linda (McQuarrie) Henderson, daughter Wendy (Henderson) Boger and her husband Tim and son Bradley Edward, his wife Tricia (Burkholder) Henderson. Ed had four grandchildren, Seth and his wife Emily (Nucciarone) Boger of Beirut, Lebanon, Sarah (Boger) Codner and her husband Ben of Quinter, KS, Rachel and Joseph Henderson of Katesh, Tanzania and three great-grandchildren, Denson and Noel Codner and soon to arrive Levi Boger. Ed also is survived by extended relatives, brother-in-law Jack Steele and sister-in-law Christine (Putnam) Henderson, niece Lynne Steele and four nephews Bruce Steele, Robert, Sam and Cory Henderson. Ed is pre-deceased by their son Brent Robert Henderson, twin brother Dallas, sister-in-law Helen (McQuarrie) Steele and nephew SFC Aaron Henderson (Operation Enduring Freedom-AFG).

There will be a burial service and interment at a later date at the East Hodgdon Cemetery in Hodgdon, Maine.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that all gifts be sent to Big Woods Bible Church at www.bigwoods.org or mailed to 241 S Hanna St., Lock Haven, PA 17745.
