St. Albans, Maine - Calling all helpers, healers, lovers, and humanitarians, on January 6, 2026, at 12 p.m. a celebration of life peace walk will be held in loving memory of Dr. John Robert Staffieri from the St. Louis Church in Auburn to the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, where a funeral will never happen only peace and love. This was his final wish.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. "Trust and Believe in a Loving God, Trust and Believe in a Loving Family, Trust and Believe in a Loving Country ... it is most important, valued, and worthy. Try, in God we Trust, I do, it's on our coupons." Remember to go forward in peace to love and to serve, because we all deserve to love and be loved and we all serve. In loving memory of Dr. John Robert Staffieri, 1938-2025, a man who served 55 years with the Roman Catholic Bishop of Portland, Maine. He too served to heal PTSD. In smiles, hugs, and watercolors, he left a beautiful memory.
In lieu of flowers, please make all donations to the Good Shepherd Food Bank, P.O. Box 1807, Auburn, ME 04211. Bob's final resting place will be at the Maine Veterans Blue Star Memorial Cemetery in Augusta, because his wife, Irene, served. Bob's legacy, underlying message, is HEALTH CARE FOR ALL. Please teach our children to respect all people, places, and things. Care has been provided by Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Pittsfield.
