Donald William Card Obituary

Roque Bluffs, Maine - With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father, Donald William Card. Born in Providence, RI, to Howard Card and Doris (Bellows) Card, Dad spent the majority of his life as a part of the Mt. Washington Valley and Fryeburg, ME, communities.

After graduating from Kennett High School, he attended the Maine Maritime Academy. During the Vietnam War, he voluntarily joined the Army as a helicopter pilot and served two honorable tours of duty. Dad was a man of few words, but was always quick to laugh and help when and wherever possible. He was able to build community wherever he went, including in Roque Bluffs/Machias, ME, where he lived with his wife, Sabrina, in retirement.

Dad was preceded in death by his parents; his younger brother, Richard "Dick" Card; and his wife, Sabrina (Shaw) Card. He is survived by his children, Timothy Davis of North Carolina, Chad Card and Brian Rich of Amberg, Germany, and Melissa and Colton Card Curotto of North Conway, NH; his grandchildren, and his nieces and their families.

A military burial will be held at Acadia National Cemetery on July 17, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. If you would like to honor Dad's memory, please find a way to help a veteran, wounded soldier, or provide a loving home to a sheltered animal.
