In LOVING Memory

It is difficult to start

this yearly remembrance of you My ONLY True LOVE, Dave Pilotte.

It has been 11 years today since you died.

I have been going through many words/lyrics/poems

and notes to me. All great memories of our 40 plus years together.

You continue to be

a glistening thread weaving through my life.

So much has happened over 11 years, but these past months have made me wish/pray for your thoughts and companionship.

You had a way of helping me stay balanced and breathing through life.

I found the last card I gave you that brought a smile to my face,

dated 9/9/2014.

Steady, Strong and True

you were the anchor in My life.

I found this most treasured Native American Prayer:

I give you this one thought to keep -

I am with you still -

I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.

I am the diamond glints on snow,

I am the sunlight on ripened grain,

I am the gentle

autumn rain.

When you awaken

in the morning's hush,

I am the swift,

uplifting rush

of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not think of me

as gone -

I am with you still -

in each new dawn.

Each year brings new discovery, I miss you. You wrote often that one of us would go first and the other left to live on with the Love we felt all those 40+ years.
