Littleton - David M. Foster, 72, went home to be with his Lord, Thursday January 31, 2019 at a Houlton hospital. He was born November 23, 1946, in Houlton, the son of Donald and Margaret (Jones) Foster.
David grew up on the Foster Road in Littleton and graduated from Houlton High School with the Class of 1965. He then purchased a farm on the Foster Road and spent many happy years there, never really retiring. He married Patricia Lee on September 7, 1968 and they would share many years together until her passing in 2010. Over the last seven years David has found much happiness together with special friend Mary Taylor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and on Sundays enjoyed watching NASCAR. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren very much.
He is survived by his children: Tammy Gisel and her husband Glen of Gray, Tabetha Tuttle and her husband Kevin of Hodgdon, Christopher Foster and his wife Tiffany of Littleton, Tricia Bragan and her husband Spencer of Presque Isle, a "daughter" Alyssa Schools and her husband Ryan of Monticello, a "son" Tim Cummings and his wife Mary of Littleton, seventeen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. He will also be remembered by Mary Taylor of Woodstock, NB, siblings: Carolyn Lamoreau and her husband Rod of Mapleton, Larry Foster and his wife Candice of Monticello, Steve Foster and his wife Bonnie of Houlton, Jan Murchison and her husband Ken of Caribou, Michael Stevens of Vesuvius, VA, several nieces and nephews as well as a special niece Natalie Stanley and her husband Kyle of Franklin. In addition to his parents and wife Patricia, he was predeceased by a daughter Lisa Lee, a granddaughter Caroline Tuttle, and a brother Marc Donnelly
Friends may call 2 PM Friday February 8, 2019 at the Littleton Baptist Church, where a memorial service will be conducted at 3 PM with the Rev. Steve Straubel officiating. A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service. Those who wish to remember David in a special way may make gifts in his memory payable to the Southern Aroostook Agricultural Museum in c/o Dunn Funeral Home 11 Park St. Houlton, ME 04730.
