Allagash, Maine - Daniel "Joey" Gardner, 78, passed unexpectedly September 26, 2025. He was born August 7, 1947, in Fort Kent, a son of the late John and Lucy Gardner, and was a graduate of former Allagash High School.
Joey attended University of Maine - Orono and attained his engineering degree. He worked his entire life for Fraser Paper Mill, Madawaska, until his retirement in 2002. Joey was a deeply faithful man, and he obtained a master's degree from Northeast Bible Institute in Pennsylvania and graduated from Faith School of Theology in Maine. He had a great influence both spiritually and financially at the Allagash Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by many cousins and friends, near and far.
A graveside service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Allagash Municipal Cemetery, with Pastor Gary Gardner officiating. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home, 14 E. Main St., Fort Kent. To share condolences online, please visit LajoieFuneralHome.com.
