Bangor - BANGOR - Dale C. Marriner, 75, died Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at a Bangor hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born June 14, 1939 the son of Clifton and Christine (Davis) Marriner.

Dale enjoyed taking rides in the car and visiting family and friends. He especially enjoyed the times he spent with his sister, Ann. He had a special place in his heart for his nephew, Kenny Jr., whom he spent lots of time with until his nephews death. In his earlier years, during the summer and school vacations, he loved to visit with his Uncle Lonnie, Aunt Mable and cousin Beverly. Before becoming disabled, Dale worked as a pants presser in a clothing factory and then at a taxi company in Belfast. He enjoyed old cars, listening to Elvis Presley, country, and gospel music. Dale had a great sense of humor and loved to tell jokes, he also had a great love for dogs.

He is survived by one brother; Kenneth Marriner of Bangor, two sisters; Ann Curtis of Searsport and Trudy Ricker of Augusta, several half-brothers and sisters, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved nephew, Kenneth Marriner Jr., brother-in-law, Reginald Curtis and nephew Jeffery Curtis. The family wishes to extend gratitude to Dale's niece, Regina and husband, Raymond for all the assistance they gave to Dale the last few years. They would also like to thank the Dr's and Staff at EMMC for their kind and compassionate care of Dale while he was a patient.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Marriner/East Searsmont Cemetery on the Lincolnville Road in Searsmont. Arrangements are under the direction of Young Funeral Home and Cremation Service Searsport.
