Dale L. Guerette
Guerette and Fort Kent - Dale L. Guerette, 48, passed away on February 14, 2020, at Caribou Rehab and Nursing Center, Caribou, Maine. He was born June 7, 1971, in Presque Isle, Maine, the son of James and Patricia (Nadeau) Guerette.
Dale was a graduate of Fort Kent Community High School and a longtime adult community member of St. John Valley Associates in Madawaska, Maine which he fondly referred to as the "Center". He was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed. He was a big sports fan especially of the Celtics, Red Sox, and Bruins teams, and kept up with all the team and player statistics. He loved telling jokes, playing cards, eating out, watching movies, sitting around the campfire, and attending Pine Tree Camp in the summer. He was particularly fond of the staff and all his friends at the "Center" where he enjoyed cooking, card games, bowling, and many other activities and excursions.
Dale is predeceased by his mother, Patricia Guerette.
He is survived by his father, James M. Guerette of Guerette, Maine; five siblings, brother James Guerette and wife, Ursula Guerette of Colorado, sister Tina DePiero and husband, Douglas DePiero of Massachusetts, twin brother Mark Guerette of New Hampshire, sisters Sharon Guerette and Susan Guerette of Massachusetts; his nieces and nephews, Jack Guerette of Colorado, Dana, Avery, and Hayden DePiero of Massachusetts; his grandmother, Corinne Nadeau of Fort Kent; aunt Frances Collin of St. Agatha; uncles Lincoln Nadeau of New Canada, Donald Nadeau and his wife, Lyse Nadeau, and Carroll Nadeau of New Canada, and many cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Family and friends may call at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home from 9am until 9:45am on Wednesday before the Mass. Burial will be held at a later date in the Daigle Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to either: St. John Valley Associates, Inc., 291 Newberry Drive, Suite 105, Madawaska, Maine 04756, or to Maine Special Olympics, 125 John Roberts Road, #19, South Portland, Maine 04106.

So sorry to hear of Dale’s passing. He was definitely a gentle soul that I enjoyed teaching in high school. May happy memories carry you all through this sorrowful time.
