Colin Brent Smith Obituary

Passadumkeag, Maine - Colin Brent Smith passed away unexpectedly November 29, 2025, at the age of 59. His death is a tragic reminder that the disease of addiction can take a hold of anyone's life. Colin will be remembered for his warm heart, sense of humor and his passion for drawing and tattooing. We will forever hold the memories of his smile, sarcasm and his love for his family and friends. Colin liked everyone and in return everyone liked Colin. He was the kind of guy with a big heart who put others needs over his.

Colin attended Old Town High School and graduated with a GED. He moved to Indiana, where he was an arborist. After returning to Maine, although he was jack-of-all-trades, his true passion was when he was a mechanic working for Marty Carmichael's Trucking. His last known employer was Compotech.

Colin was born in Bangor, Maine, on May 29, 1966. He was the youngest of 11 children. Although he was a brother, he was like a son. He is survived by his sister, Harriet Trombley and husband, Bernie; his sister, Pamela Carmichael and special brother-in-law, Marty; his brother, Warren Brasslett and significant other, Rena; sister, Jeannie Brasslett; his brother, Terry Smith; brother, Monte Smith; sister, Sherry Smith; aunt, Glenice Dugan; and uncle, William Cooper. He also had a special bond with all of his nieces and nephews that will miss him dearly. He was predeceased at a young age by both parents, Donald and Dorothy Smith. He was also predeceased by brother, Donald Smith II; brother, Randy Lee Smith; sister, Kathy Legassie; nephew, Terry Smith II; nephew, Derek Smith; and a special brother-in-law, Reginald Curtis.
